Surprise Release of "BOOG- Ep" by:XIXI

XIXI makes a culture statement with the his new release "BOOG- EP", I would describe this EP as a classic "beat tape" that yet raises the bar. This 5 beat collection "hit different" an is definitely a vibe.

Without giving it away, the project opens up with the track "Drive" thats starts with a audio clip of a classic movie and when hear it, you'll wanna hop in the whip & vibe. WARNING: (I'll make this disclaimer) Although this project is instrumental, the selection of beats will have you listening and unconciously even hearing your favorite rapper/mc over this  collection of vibes.

The track "222" features Elyscia on the hook that features a live band vibe, smooth but hard hitting expensive vibe that only an "A-list" artist with the delvery of the lyrical caliber of a Jay Z, Nas, Rick Ross. could even do this beat justice,

The classic hip-hop vibe of track "8409" features DMV lengendary DJ mogal, DJAlizay which takes you back to "The Tunnel" and any official legendary NYC hiphop club giving you the 90's classic hiphop feel under the intense cuts & scratches of DJ Alizay segwaying to an even west coast feel towards the end that transitions perfectly into the track "HrtBrkR" which somehow gives you both classic East & West coast vibes in form of a sound reminiscent to classic 70s soul.

The last track, "PG County", definitely gives you the best representation of the 2022 fresh DMV vibe, its upbeat with hella bounce, that even rapper/mc's like Wale would definitely match this vibe to a T in authenticity. Make no mistake about, "PG County" is definitely a track that is original in sound and all references made only explains the energy of this beat.

As a whole, what I appreciate about the "BOOG- EP" is if you're familiar with XIXI, you know that he is also one of most underated lyricist in the game, and hearing this EP had me waiting all 5 tracks for those classic XIXI bars, but as I listened, I realized that this EP is the epedemy of simplicity and an humble invitation to listeners to hear the XIXI canvas without any paint of lyrics even go onto the masterpiece. I feel this shows his uncanning talent & diversity of his skillset and Iook forward to hearing more from XIXI soon.
