“MeetBryson: Understanding Kids With Autism” is more than just a children’s book. It’s a deeply personal story — because it’s my story as a father. It’s a book I wrote to help the world better understand my son, Bryson, a joyful, non-verbal autistic boy who communicates in his own powerful way.
Bryson doesn’t use words, but that doesn’t mean he’s silent. He expresses himself through patterns, puzzles, sound, movement, and his deep bond with his therapy dog, Chloe. What looks like “different” is often just a different language — one filled with feeling, love, and meaning.
I wrote this book not only to tell Bryson’s story but to represent the countless children like him who are often misunderstood. This isn’t a story about what autism looks like — it’s about what love looks like when you meet a child exactly where they are.

A Story That Connects Us All
As a father, I wanted to create something that could help siblings, classmates, teachers, and parents better understand what kids like Bryson experience. The book answers unspoken questions — like “Why does he do that?” — in ways that are gentle, relatable, and rooted in everyday moments.
It’s not just a teaching tool. It’s a window into a world that more of us need to see.

The Heart of the Movement
Since releasing the book, the MeetBryson movement has expanded into a full platform that includes music, animations, educational tools, and even a mobile app — all designed to help children and families connect emotionally, creatively, and compassionately.
The goal is simple: to normalize neurodivergence, encourage emotional literacy, and show that kids like Bryson don’t need to be “fixed.” They need to be heard.
